Custom - Beth Millner Jewelry

Custom Jewelry

When should I place a custom order?

We would love to collaborate with you to create a custom piece of jewelry just for you!  Custom orders have a 3 month turnaround time from downpayment, with the possibility of rush order upgrades available depending on the time of year and current order status.  Please browse the album above to see examples of Beth's custom work, many created for special occasions like engagements, weddings, anniversaries and birthdays.

Collaborative Design

If you would like a custom Beth Millner Jewelry piece, please send us an email, call or stop by the storefront.  For locals, scheduling an appointment with Beth is the best way to ensure an uninterrupted design session.  Whether your idea is specific or vague, Beth can collaborate with you to bring your design to life.  She can work from your existing drawings and photographs or design something entirely new based on your style preferences and input.

What's Next?

The first step in placing a custom order is contacting us with your ideas for the design, including your preference in metals, size and widths (for rings) and your budget for the project. We work with recycled metals - sterling silver, brass, copper, yellow gold, palladium white gold and rose gold. For more information on the metal choices please visit here. Next Beth will take a few weeks to work up a basic concept for the design and you will be contacted by the shop manager Janna with a quote for your project.  All custom orders are subject to a custom design fee which is included in the quote.  Once we have agreed upon the concept and quote, we ask for a half downpayment to initiate the order.  After we receive the downpayment, Beth will put together a design template or sketch for your approval prior to fabrication of the piece.  When the piece is finished, you will be contacted for the final payment and the item will be ready for shipment or pickup.

Can I use my own stones or gold?

We are happy to discuss using your own stones and ask that you send photos and measurements for Beth to evaluate if the stone can be incorporated in the design. Unfortunately at this time we are not set up to reuse customer's gold or silver.  If the metal is not sentimental, we suggest scrapping the material with a reputable business and use the cash as a payment on a custom Beth Millner piece.

Our custom work is a great opportunity to have your idea made into a special, unique piece of jewelry. All pieces are carefully handcrafted by Beth and her team of assistants with the highest attention to quality and detail.  We are committed to fast, friendly service from the initial design inquiries to the delivery of the final product.

Ring Sizing

Purchase this ring sizer to help determine your ring size. This sizing tool is most accurate for double band rings and bands 6mm and under.

Fingers can change size due to many circumstances, the best way to get an accurate size is to check the size a couple of different times to determine your best size. The majority of our rings can be resized, but if the ring has a stone setting other than a diamond, it probably cannot be resized unless otherwise noted in the item listing.

Some of our rings with stones are shown with the stone not set in order for us to size the ring to your specifications and set the stone afterwards. This avoids damage to the stone during sizing. Reference the individual ring listings for more details. Wide Bands 7mm and above have more friction against the finger and will need to be ordered a little larger.

Our double band rings fit like a narrow band, when getting sized for a double band ring, you can get sized for a ring that is narrow.

When getting your finger sized, inform jeweler of the width band you are intending on purchasing and rely on them to determine your ring size.

Look here for more information about resizing items that you have already received.

Engagement Ring Sizing

Purchase this ring sizer to help determine your ring size. This sizing tool is most accurate for double band rings and bands 6mm and under.

There are many sneaky options for getting the size right, but the best way is to have their finger sized by a professional.

You may be able to sneak one of their rings and bring it into a jewelry store and ask to check the size.

Beth Millner Jewelry has wish lists too, so they could come in to the store and fill out a wish list and hopefully they provides their ring size.

Bracelet & Cuff Sizing

Measure wrist circumference. Take your measurement just above the wrist above bone.

Use the chart below to determine the correct size.

The bracelets we make are designed to fit comfortably, but if a looser fit is preferred, the next size up may be suitable.

Pendant & Earring Sizing

When determining the size of pendant or earrings you would like to purchase, please reference the item description which includes the size of the piece.

Also, there will be an image with a hand in the picture to help visualize the size.

When choosing a piece for another person, we find that our customers choose pieces that are similar to their overall stature.

People that are shorter and small tend to like smaller items, tall slender people tend to like our longer larger pieces.

Chain Length

When picking out a chain, 18 inch is the most common length.

This would cause the pendant to sit between the collar bones.
