Welcome to our first Michigan Made Monday blog post series! Every Monday we will be highlighting a different Michigan based artisan, crafter, farmer or farm-to-table restaurant. We will begin our series focusing on the many talented folks found in the Upper Peninsula and then expand beyond the bridge.
Our first Michigan Made Monday featured artist is the talented sculptor Ritch Branstrom of Rapid River. Ritch's work combines found objects and materials into quirky, imaginative creations.
A few years ago, Ritch entered the international art competition called Artprize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His huge 12' tall dog Rusty was a hit at the show and earned him 5th place out of 1,582 entries! This year, Ritch heads downstate to Artprize again with another creation and we can't wait to see what he's fabricated this time.

I love this piece. It is just stunning against a black background. I like that Beth is using different stones that aren't usually seen in jewelry. Just when I think I have enough, Beth comes up with something new that I can't resist.
The butterfly pendant is so pretty. It is very nicely made. It can be worn for dress up or for casual. Love it!!
Perfect match for the pendant of the same shape and design! They go great together and we’re made for each other!

I love the pendant so much! The details are perfect.
I love the prints on all of these. I have bought many for Christmas gifts, nieces in H.S. and MIL. They like them all, very beautiful prints
Walking through the woods when it's "raining" autumn is one of my favorite things to do and this pendant captures that experience beautifully!! Thank you!!
