A Bee-autiful Collection and Collaboration

As you walk in the door of Beth Millner Jewelry in downtown Marquette, you may hear hammering or sawing mixed with laughter drifting down from the spiral staircase into the showroom.  This is local at its finest, where each piece of jewelry is handcrafted by NMU Art & Design alumni Beth and her small team of assistants (a mix of art alumni and current students) in the studio above the shop, using recycled metals and eco-friendly practices.

In keeping with the heart of the shop’s community minded mission, Beth Millner Jewelry is proud to partner with various organizations to design and craft exclusive lines of fundraiser jewelry.  A portion of the proceeds from these pieces are donated to the organizations, which have included the U.P. Diabetes Outreach Network, the Alzheimer’s Association, a memorial art scholarship, Bay Cliff Science Camp and most recently the MooseWood Nature Center with the new honeycomb series.

The launch of Beth’s new honeycomb series this spring comes at a time when bee education and awareness is brought to a national stage.  As a long time bee admirer, Beth is excited to donate 10% of the proceeds of any honeycomb jewelry to the MooseWood Nature Center in Marquette, Michigan for their efforts in establishing and maintaining a pollinator garden and continued bee and environmental education.

MooseWood Nature Center is a fantastic non-profit family friendly center that celebrates the natural beauty of the Upper Peninsula through action and education.  Open on the weekends, the center is a great stop to make with your family as you picnic or play at Marquette's popular Presque Isle Park.
